#Tip…People LOVE to Moan….

I have come to the conclusion that people love love love to moan. After starting this blog I have recently noticed that with ALL the tips shared, people only jump on something they can moan at…..I have never been backwards in coming forwards so I say to these people…..If you do not like it, DONT READ IT. If you have decided to take time out of your day to go through a blog with a fine tooth comb JUST to find something to nitpick at….then you need a new hobby. This blog is for people who wish to save money, not for the bored and insecure who are looking for an argument. If you have nothing constructive to say, please just unfollow and get on with your life. Because I answer to nobody and will write what I want when I want…that is your choice to read it but it will not change what I do just because you may not agree. 🙂

Tesco Orchard Ice Cream Programme

Well my Tesco Orchard vouchers have arrived. This is the second programme I have been invited to. The first was for fresh meat where I received free vouchers for myself, family and friends. This one is all about the Tesco Ice cream range. Again I have been kindly given vouchers for me and the kids to go and make our choice, then help out by filling in surveys online and giving my opinion. It is well worth a go for anyone. #TriedForLess

March Savings

March has been my worst saving so far….With the kids off for easter holidays and money spent on them, my daughter’s 13th birthday, plus things going on at home I have not been as on the ball as I should of been. However my savings for march is a grand total of £460.67 🙂

Most of this has been on grocery shopping. I always look for a deal, I use my coupons religiously! I am a half price shopper and if its half price or BOGOF then I usually buy 2 to get the proper value. Many things going into my stock cupboard.

I made a saving of £68.99 on the SPORTS DIRECT clearance sale.

I made a £19.50 on a MOTHERCARE in store sale for bits for my son.

I managed to get 335.35 worth of goods from BOOTS for free with my ADVANTAGE CARD. An advantage card is a must, if you havent got one, get one!!!

I bought and sold off my local buy and sell site on facebook making a saving of £126.00

I also told you in my last blog about sky. Just an update I rang for my mother and managed to get £10.16 off of her bill also, so well worth ringing xxx

We’re all going on a summer holiday!

Well this is the reality of my saving. checking deals, cutting bills, couponing, budget buying has all paid off. I have been saving all my spare change since December and I have been putting the odd £20 her £10 there aside each time I save on a shop or get a deal….and this is the result. A grand total of £1,697.82!!!!

Now put in the bank and today I have booked a little trip away for me, my partner and the kids

The Eco Button….errmmmm?!?!?!

This week I have been learning about the Eco Button. I seen it on my washing machine and on the dishwasher and wondered if it does indeed save money, or waste money. So I decided to do a bit of research. Long story short it, for washing machines and dishwashers it heats up the water slowly to save energy, therefore saving money. Although it doesnt save much on the washing machine apparently it does save on the dishwasher. So from now on I am whacking all of them on eco! Worth a try eh.

Always remember as well to stack your dishwasher to full before using, Common sense really xxx

Feb Savings

Sorry the Blog is late, Was ill last night. In feb I managed to save £708.73. How?? FRUGAL SHOPPING!!

Everytime I shop, either online or local, I search for the best deals.

This month I saved in…

B&Q – They had a great deal on. Massive pots of matte emulsion 2 for £20 instead of £14 each and Crown paint for £9. I have managed to re-vamp my daughter’s bedroom and my partner has painted a two storey flat all with 4 pots of these bad boys.

Tesco’s – I searched for the deals whilst in the shop and used the coupons from the magazine. Saving myself £46.67 on my shop.

Sports Direct. 80% and 90% sales. Need I say more

Ebay. Many Ebay shops say that if you are not 100% happy with your purchase to email them rather than leave negative feedback. Not that I am one to moan but after a couple wrong orders I emailed the company to say they had sent the wrong item. Not only was I given a FULL refund I was able to keep the sent items also. Very kind.

My Local DIY store. The lovely lady gave me 25p off my wallpaper paste. Not a fortune but it all added up to the total above.

My Stuff. I sold a load of my clothes on my facebook site.

These are just a few of the things I did. Now onto the freebies…

As you can see from the picture I received quite a few this month from protein shakes to condoms. But my best freebie was my PHOTOBOX canvas. Not exactly a freebie but after a different order that arrived not 100% clear I emailed the company, along with pictures of proof. I have been a valid customer of PHOTOBOX for quite a while and the lovely lady, after checking my pictures, credited my account with the amount I had paid for the original which meant I got to choose this baby for FREE!! Plus! if you ordered 2 canvases in the same order you got 30% off so I ordered a gorgeous canvas of my new baby boy for a fraction of the price. PHOTOBOX are not ones to blag. They are not silly and wanted plenty of proof that my original was indeed blurry, but I cannot recommend this company enough for customer service, With their “Chat now” option on the website my query was dealt with so quickly and I was made up with the outcome xxx
